Poligras Tokyo GT and Rekortan M at the sports performance center "Creps Île-de-France"
The municipality of Châtenay-Malabry, home to around 35,000 residents, is located south of Paris and is now part of the French capital's metropolitan area. This area has historical significance: Voltaire lived here following his exile, and poet and politician François-René de Chateaubriand owned a grand estate surrounded by today's Parc Vallée-aux-Loups. At its heart lies Châtenay-Malabry’s highlight: a botanical garden with over 500 species of trees and shrubs. Close to the park, you will also find the headquarters of Creps Île-de-France, as well as a sports performance center. The mission of Creps Île-de-France is to support elite athletes in collaboration with their respective sports associations—particularly in preparation for the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris. Currently, approximately 200 athletes train in Châtenay-Malabry, while others are distributed across two centers in Pontault-Combault and Seine-et-Marne. This center also serves as an "incubator for young talent." To achieve this goal, Creps Île-de-France has implemented a dual model, integrating local schools and universities to ensure that tomorrow's top athletes receive the best sports and academic education today. Additional focuses include vocational training and professional development for instructors and coaches. The center offers a diverse range of sports, including fencing, golf, field hockey, karate, rowing, badminton, basketball, kayaking, cycling, gymnastics, handball, table tennis, archery, volleyball, and rugby. The hockey field is particularly sustainable: Polytan Poligras Tokyo GT in blue was installed here, the first artificial turf in the world whose filaments are partially made from renewable raw materials. The material, BioBased PE, enhances the outstanding playing characteristics of proven PE monofilament fibers with the added benefit of sustainability. Thanks to its turf design specifically adapted to the BioBased PE formula, Poligras Tokyo GT delivers exceptionally dynamic and precise gameplay. Its uniform, multi-directional surface, supported by patented ENTANGLEMENT technology within the filaments, remains stable over time, providing long-lasting resistance to premature wear. Surrounding the hockey field is a three-lane track made of Polytan Rekortan M in red. This waterproof and spike-resistant professional sports surface offers exceptional acceleration and foot elasticity. Rekortan M is fast, boasts high shock absorption, and provides excellent values for sports medicine.
